XStat 30 hemostatic applicator

Description The XStat 30 hemostatic applicator is the first of its kind hemostatic agent designed specifically to quickly stop bleeding from gunshot and shrapnel wounds. This device works by injecting miniature, rapidly expanding sponges directly into the wound using a special applicator. Advantages Thanks to Compound Leverage technology, the XSTAT® 30 Gen2 device contains 20% more mini-sponges. Optimized for use in critical situations, including wounds in the groin or armpit, as well as narrow entry wounds in the limbs. Intended for temporary use for up to 4 hours prior to surgical intervention. A quick and effective solution for stopping bleeding without the need for manual compression. Supplied in vacuum-sealed, sterile packaging. Instructions Open the package and remove the applicator. Insert the applicator into the wound as close to the source of bleeding as possible. Insert the plunger into the applicator and press to release the sponges into the wound. If necessary, use an additional applicator to completely fill the wound with sponges. Cover the wound with an occlusive or pressure dressing. If bleeding does not stop, continue applying pressure with your hands until it stops.
