At Kratose Defense Drone Shop, we want you flying with confidence. We know drones are a big investment, and buying online means you can’t test-fly before checkout. That’s why we built a clear, fair return policy that protects both you and us.

Our goal is simple: if something’s wrong with your drone, we’ll make it right. If you just changed your mind, we’ll still work with you — within reason. Drones are high-value electronics with safety and regulatory issues, so our policy is different from clothing or books. Please read this page before purchasing.

*1. Quick Summary*

– *30-Day Returns*: Unopened, unactivated items can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund
– *15-Day Flight Test Period*: If you’ve flown the drone, you have 15 days from delivery to return it if there’s a defect. A restocking fee may apply if there’s no defect
– *No Crash Returns*: Drones damaged by crash, water, or pilot error are not covered by returns. That’s what warranties and damage protection plans are for
– *All Parts Required*: Returns must include the drone, controller, batteries, props, cables, manuals, and original packaging
– *Exclusions*: Activated software, used batteries, and clearance items are final sale

*2. Why Drone Returns Are Different*

Unlike a jacket you can try on, a drone is a flying aircraft regulated by aviation authorities. Once it’s been activated, flown, or registered to your account, we can’t resell it as new.

There are 3 main reasons we have stricter rules than a general retailer:

1. *FAA & Safety Regulations*: Lithium Polymer batteries are hazmat. We can’t accept opened battery returns through standard mail in most cases. Drones also log flight data — if it crashed, that data shows it
2. *Depreciation*: A drone loses 15-25% of its value the second you activate it, similar to driving a car off the lot. Activation ties the serial number to a DJI, Autel, or manufacturer account
3. *Liability*: We can’t guarantee the airworthiness of a drone that’s been flown by someone else. Selling a used drone as new creates safety and legal risk

So our policy balances customer flexibility with these realities.

*3. 30-Day Return Window: Unopened & Unactivated*

If your item is still sealed in original packaging and has never been activated, you have 30 calendar days from the delivery date to request a return.

*You’ll receive*: 100% refund to your original payment method, minus shipping costs.

*You pay*: Return shipping. We recommend a tracked, insured service. If the item arrives damaged to us, your refund may be reduced.
